Gym website design

Gym website design that books intros.

For a gym, a website isn't a brochure. It's the step between an ad click and a booked intro, and most are quietly failing at it: slow on a phone, vague about price, asking strangers to "get in touch" instead of showing a calendar. We design it, write it, build it fast and mobile-first, and wire it to your follow-up. Your domain stays yours, and the site is yours to keep.

Gym website Is your site costing you intros?

Most gym owners don't need a prettier website. They need one that turns a stranger on a phone into a name on the calendar. If any of these sound familiar, your gym website is probably leaking the leads your ads and your reputation already paid for. And if it isn't, we'll tell you so.

  • A template that was fine a few years ago and is now slow on a phone.
  • An enquiry form that emails an inbox nobody checks.
  • Ads landing on a homepage full of class schedules.
  • No prices, no calendar, just "get in touch".
  • You want to run paid traffic properly and need somewhere decent to send it.

The honest bit

If your current site converts well and just looks dated, we'll tell you to spend the money on traffic instead. A pretty rebuild that changes nothing is the easiest invoice in this industry to write and the hardest to justify.

Fitness website design Six jobs. One is design.

Fitness website design is the visible part. The other five jobs are what decide whether the site produces anything. Here's everything that goes into a GymPropel build, from deciding what each page is for to keeping it updated after launch, so you can see exactly where the time goes.

  1. Decide what each page is for

Most gym sites have too many pages and no clear job. We cut the plan to the pages that earn their place: home, programs, pricing, coaches, a booking page and a landing page per campaign. Each gets one action before a pixel is drawn. A CrossFit affiliate needs a free-intro page up front; a HIIT studio needs its class timetable.

  2. Write it like a person answering questions

What happens in the first session, who else trains here, will I be the least fit person in the room, what does it cost, can I stop. We write it with you in a working session. It's the part that moves conversion most.

  3. Build it fast, mobile-first

Most of your traffic is a thumb on a phone on a bad connection. We build lean, compress images properly and hold pages to Google's Core Web Vitals, where under 2.5 seconds for the main content is the published "good" bar.

  4. Wire it to your follow-up

Every form and booking pushes straight into your CRM and fires the first text within minutes, stamped with its source. It's the trigger for our gym CRM automation, built during the site build, not bolted on after.

  5. Lay the local SEO foundations

Titles and descriptions per page, clean heading structure, LocalBusiness schema, a sitemap and details that match your Google Business Profile. Groundwork for local SEO for gyms, not a ranking promise.

  6. Hand it over and keep it alive

Your domain stays in your name, and the site is yours to keep if you ever leave. While we work together we keep it updated, patched and backed up, and we make the edits you ask for rather than sending you into a page builder at 10pm.

Gym landing page One page, one decision.

Sending Facebook traffic to a homepage is the most common avoidable waste in gym advertising. A homepage asks a visitor to make half a dozen decisions; a gym landing page asks for one. Matching the page to the ad or the search term also lifts your Google quality score, which lowers what you pay per click.

How a build runs Kickoff to launch.

A gym site isn't a six-month project. The long part is usually waiting on photos and copy approvals, so we front-load both. A typical build and launch takes a few weeks, and we give you a date at kickoff. If it's going to slip, you hear it from us early.

  1. Kickoff and audit

We go through the current site with your analytics open: where traffic arrives, where it leaves, what a phone user sees first, how long it takes to load on a real device. Then we agree the page plan and what we need from you.

  2. Copy and structure

Written before design, because design that decorates finished copy beats copy squeezed into a template. You see every page as plain text, comment on it and sign it off.

  3. Design and build

Key pages designed, then built out. You review on a staging link on your own phone. Forms, booking calendar, CRM connection and tracking go in during the build.

  4. Launch week

Redirects mapped from old URLs so you keep the rankings you have, speed and accessibility checked, every form tested end to end with a real phone. Then we watch it for the first several days.

  5. Iterate on what the data says

After launch the site becomes a dial: landing pages per campaign, headlines tested, the booking step shortened. Monthly you see visitors, enquiries, booked intros and joins, not just a traffic chart.

Do I own the gym website you build?

Usually, yes. Your domain stays in your name, and if you stop working with us, the site is yours to keep. We aren't stingy about it: we'll agree the handover with you, and nothing gets held over you.

How long does a gym website take to build?

Usually a few weeks for a standard build, with the timeline set mostly by how fast copy gets approved and photos get delivered. We give you a date at kickoff, and if it's going to slip you hear it from us early.

Should I put my prices on the site?

In most markets, yes. Hiding price filters out fewer tire-kickers than owners expect and costs you serious people who won't fill in a form to find out. If you'd rather not publish exact figures, we'll write an honest range and explain what it includes.

Can you work with my existing site?

Sometimes. If the platform is sound and the problem is copy, speed and the booking flow, a targeted fix is cheaper and faster than a rebuild, and we'll recommend it. If it's on something we can't make fast, we'll say that too.

What happens to my class schedule and billing software?

It stays where it is. We integrate with the gym platform you already pay for rather than migrating your members and billing, which is a risky project with very little upside in the middle of a marketing engagement.

What does a gym website cost?

We'll tell you on the call exactly what a build and ongoing care cost for your gym, and whether a refresh would do instead of a rebuild. Your domain stays yours. If you need a photo shoot, it's quoted separately before anyone books a camera.
