Gym membership sign-ups

Gym membership sign-ups, not just bookings.

A booked intro is a promise, not a member. We turn more of the leads you already get into gym membership sign-ups: reminders so people actually show up, an intro built to sell, and a front desk process your team can run on a busy Saturday. Lead, booked, showed up, signed, with nothing left to chance between them.

Measured in members who sign and stay · Not in leads

Gym membership sales process Four stages, three leaks.

Every gym membership sales process has the same four stages, and sign-ups are lost in the gaps between them. The good news is that each gap has a different cause, so it has a different fix. Track the four numbers every week and the weakest gap tells you exactly where to work, before you spend another dollar on ads.

  1. 01 · Lead

    Enquiry to booked

If this gap is weak, it's the phone and the first reply. Leads wait hours, get one call and a voicemail, then book with the gym that answered first.

We put: a reply in minutes and a call that books a specific time.

  2. 02 · Booked

    Booked to showed up

If this gap is weak, it's a reminder problem. People book on impulse at 9pm and forget by Thursday. No-shows are often a bigger leak than bad leads.

We put: confirmation, two reminders and a reschedule offer.

  3. 03 · Showed up

    Showed up to signed

If this gap is weak, it's the intro. A long tour, a menu of prices and "so, what do you think?" is how warm people walk out to think about it. It matters most where the intro is a one-to-one consult, as in personal training studios.

We put: an intro structure and scripts built to sell.

  4. 04 · Signed

    Signed, then stayed

A sign-up only counts if they're still paying. That's why we report on members who sign and stay, and from month three, how many are still on your roster.

We report: booked, showed, signed, retained.

Gym no-show reminders Reminders so they show.

A booking made in a moment of motivation has to survive a busy week. Gym no-show reminders are the cheapest patch in the whole funnel, and they're written to read like a person at your gym, not a robot. The sequence runs on its own through our gym marketing automation, so nobody has to remember to send them.

  • Confirmation right away, with the address, what to bring and who they'll meet.
  • A reply asked for, like a thumbs up, so we know the number is real and the thread is open.
  • A reminder the night before and another an hour out.
  • A reschedule offer the moment someone doesn't turn up, instead of silence.
  • An easy way out: "If something changes, text us and we'll move it." A moved intro beats a missed one.

Gym intro conversion An intro built to sell.

They turned up. The next thirty minutes decide it. Gym intro conversion is rarely about pressure; it's about structure: learn why they came before showing them anything, then make one clear recommendation. Our full gym front desk sales script has the words line by line.

  1. Greet, then sit down

Use their name within seconds, stand up, and don't talk from behind a desk. Sit before the tour, so you hear about them before you show them a rowing machine they don't care about.

  2. Ask before you tell

Why now, what they've tried, how many days a week is realistic, what would make six months worth it, and what they're worried about. Write the answers down in front of them.

  3. Do the tour backwards

Three things tied to what they told you, each one aimed at their worry. Not eleven things. A long tour buries the two that mattered.

  4. One recommendation, then stop

Say their reason back in their own words, recommend one membership and give the price. Then stop talking. A menu of options turns a decision into comparison shopping.

  5. Ask once, clearly

"Do you want to get started?" If it's a no, ask whether it's the money, the timing or the fit, so the follow-up a week later is about the right thing.

Front desk sales process A process anyone can run.

A script in a Google Doc is decoration. What turns it into sign-ups is a process that survives a new hire, a busy Saturday and the owner being on the gym floor. We write it down, train whoever works the leads, and keep reading the conversations with you every week, so it keeps working after the first month.

Written down

Scripts for the call and the intro

The enquiry call, the intro, the voicemail and answers to the objections you hear weekly, in words that sound like your gym. One page each, printed at the desk.

Practised

Training for whoever answers

A short session with you, a coach or the front desk. Role-play before it goes live, written down so it's repeatable for the next hire.

Counted

Four numbers, every week

Enquiries, booked, showed, signed. Fifteen minutes on the same day each week shows whether the weak link is the phone, the reminders or the intro.

Watched

We read the threads

Every week we read the conversations and tell you where they're dying, and we'll tell you honestly if the person working the leads isn't working them.

Gym sign-ups FAQ Straight answers.

What owners ask about turning booked intros into members. The free month, contracts and qualifications are covered on the first-month-free offer.

Do you run the intros for us?

No. Your team does, because the intro happens in your gym with your coaches. We write the structure and the scripts, train whoever runs it, automate the reminders and read the conversations every week. Software can book the intro; it can't sit across the table and ask someone to join.

How is this different from lead follow-up?

Lead follow-up gets an enquiry to a booked intro fast. Sign-ups picks up from there: getting that person to show up, running an intro that sells, and a front desk process that closes. Same funnel, later stages.

Should we give the price over the phone?

Don't lead with a number, but never dodge it twice. Give an honest range, then steer back to booking the intro, where the price can be tied to what the person actually wants. Putting your pricing on your website is usually the right call too.

What if our intros are already good?

Then we'll leave them alone. The weekly numbers show which gap is weakest. If showed-to-signed is strong and booked-to-showed is weak, the work is in reminders, not in rewriting a script that already closes.

How do you measure sign-ups?

Booked intros, shows and sign-ups every month, and from month three, how many of the people we brought in are still paying. Members who sign and stay are the number we answer for, not lead counts.
